Box Score 2 PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Lake Erie College (2-15) could not pick up a win for the GLIAC as it fell to St. Joseph's (Ind.) and Kentucky Wesleyan, each in three sets, at the GLIAC/CLVC Crossover in Aurora, Ill.
The Storm dropped the morning match, 25-20, 25-22, 25-14 and fell in the nightcap, 25-21, 25-14, 25-13.
In the match against St. Joseph's, sophomore Molly Richardson (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) and Jamie Hoppe (Green Springs, Ohio/Clyde) with nine and eight kills, respectively. The Storm hit a respectable .173 in the match but was topped by St. Joseph's hitting .308.
Against Kentucky Wesleyan, Hoppe managed five kills and freshman Alexis Bankson (Churulousco, Ind./Churubusco) had 10 digs.
The Storm continues away from home on Friday with a match at Northwood University at 7:00 p.m.
