Box Score PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- The Lake Erie College volleyball team
concluded its five-match homestand on a down note, falling to Great
Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Ashland
University, 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-19), on Thursday night
(Sept. 30) at the Jerome T. Osborne Family Athletic and Wellness
Center.
The Eagles (9-4, 5-3) had three players in double figures in
kills led by Brittany Snider's match-high 18. Kate Eckels and
Anesia Benton each had 10 kills while Crystal Elliott had 41
assists setting up the offense.
Freshman Liz
Whiddon (Saline, Mich./Saline) led Lake Erie (3-12, 0-8) with
five kills. Classmate Molly
Richardson (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) and junior Michelle
Naab (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) each had four kills.
Naab had four blocks to lead the defense.
The Storm has a week off until opening a three-game weekend
road trip at Grand Valley State University on Oct.
