Box Score PAINESVILE, OHIO – For players
had four or more kills but it wasn't enough as the Lake Erie
College volleyball team lost in straight sets on the road at
Michigan Tech University Saturday (Sept. 18) in Houghton, Mich.
The loss was the fifth straight for the Storm (3-7, 0-5 GLIAC)
who remain winless in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference. However, all 10 of the teams matches to date have been
on the road. Lake Erie hosts league foe Tiffin University on
Friday night, Sept. 24, in its home opener.
Michigan Tech (2-7, 1-3 GLIAC) jumped out to an 11-3 lead in the
opening set and never looked back. The Huskies won by scores
of 25-12, 25-18 and 25-14.
Freshman Molly Richardson (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) led
the Storm with five kills and assisted on two blocks. Three
other Lake Erie players had four kills.
Kasey Woodcock led Michigan Tech, which outhit LEC .349-.021,
with 11 kills.
