could not hang with #21-ranked Northern Michigan University (8-0,
4-0 GLIAC) in a three-set match in Marquette, Mich. The
Wildcats took the match 25-10, 25-12, 25-15.
Freshman Jamie Hoppe
(Green Springs, Ohio/Clyde) had a team-high five kills, but as a
team the Storm had just 13 kills and 16 errors.
Junior setter Lauren
Bogatay(Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) led the team with seven assists
and sophomore defensive specialist Stephanie
Minotas (Cleveland, Ohio/Trinity) smashed the only two aces of
the match for Lake Erie and added four digs.
The Storm will look get its first GLIAC win tomorrow, Saturday,
Sept. 18, when their road trip continues at Michigan
Tech.
