Box Score PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- The Lake Erie College volleyball team
continued its three-match Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference (GLIAC) weekend road trip with a 3-0 loss at Ferris
State on Saturday afternoon in Big Rapids, Mich.
The Storm (3-14, 0-10 GLIAC) will be looking for their first
GLIAC victory on Sunday when they travel to Saginaw Valley
State. The Bulldogs (10-6 7-5 GLIAC) have now won four of
their past five matches.
Ferris St. took the match by scores of 25-12, 25-15, and 25-11
in its homecoming match.
Junior Michelle Naab (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton),
sophomore Nicole
Kunar (Northfield Center, Ohio/Northfield) and freshman Molly
Richardson (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) had three kills
each to lead the Storm. Richardson also had three aces, including
back-to-back serves in a first set rally. Kunar led the squad with
three blocks while freshman Jamie Hoppe (Green Springs, Ohio/Clyde)
paced Lake Erie with 12 digs.
