PAINESVILLE, OHIO  - The match was tight the entire way, as no team won a set by more than three points, but Illinois-Springfield (7-13) prevailed in a four-set match over Lake Erie College (3-16).  Freshman Molly Richardson (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) led the Storm with 10 kills. 

The match was part of the in the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover Tournament in Aurora, Ill, with Lake Erie slatted to Kentucky Wesleyan and St. Joseph's (Ind.) tomorrow. 

Illinois-Springfield won the match by a count of 25-23, 22-25, 25-22, 25-22. 

In addition to Richardson, freshman Jamie Hoppe (Green Springs, Ohio/Clyde ) had a strong match with eight kills and just three errors. Sophomore Rachel Ritt (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) led Lake Erie with 20 digs, while junior Rachel Smallwood (Carlisle, Ohio/Carlisle) added six blocks.
