PAINESVILLE, OHIO - The Lake Erie College volleyball team fell to Mercyhurst College in three sets tonight (Oct. 6), 25-11, 25-21, 25-15, at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center in Erie, Pa.

The loss drops the Storm's record to 7-16 on the season while Mercyhurst improves to 14-5 with the win.

Despite the loss sophomore Michelle Naab (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) and freshman Nicole Kunar (Northfield Center, Ohio/Nordonia) each recorded five kills. Kunar also added three blocks, while sophomore Rachel Smallwood (Carlisle, Ohio/Carlisle) led the way with four.

 Becky Smith had eight kills and five blocks to lead the Lakers.

The Storm will look to get back on the winning track on Thursday night, Oct. 8, at Ohio Dominican University at 7 p.m.
