PAINESVILLE, OHIO - The Lake Erie College volleyball team wrapped up the second day of its first appearance in the GLIAC/GLVA Crossover Tournament with a 3-0 loss to Quincy University late Saturday afternoon (Oct. 17) in Lansing, Mich.

The Storm (8-21) finished the event with a 1-2 record. Lake Erie, which was competing in the event with future GLIAC member Ohio Dominican University, joins the GLIAC next season.

In the 25-12, 25-15, 25-22 loss to Quincy, freshman hitter Mary Walter (Solon, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) had eight kills to lead the Storm. Senior Erica Muniak (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) added six kills and eight digs.

Quincy (6-16) was led by Christine Williams with 12 kills and Katie Ebbing with 11.

Lake Erie travels to Northwestern (Ohio) on Thursday at 7 p.m. for its next match before returning home on Saturday (Oct. 24) for a 1 p.m. match against Ohio Dominican.
