PAINESVILLE, OHIO - Lake Erie College got seven kills and five aces from freshman Mary Walter (Solon, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) but it wasn't enough as the Storm volleyball team dropped a three-set match to Bellarmine University today (Oct. 17) at the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover Tournament in Lansing, Mich.

Bellarmine (9-6) won the first two sets by close margins, 25-23 and 26-24, before a convincing 25-18 victory to close out the match.

Sophomores Michelle Naab (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) and Jennifer Laureno (Lyndhurst, Ohio/Brush) each had six kills for the Storm (8-20).

Emily Beckman led the Bellarmine attack with 10 kills and eight digs.

Lake Erie will close out the two-day event on Saturday evening against Quincy University.
