PAINESVILLE, OH - The Lake Erie College women's soccer team lost on the road 2-1 to Chatham University Saturday afternoon. The game remained scoreless for 57 minutes and then, despite a seven minute period, remained scoreless the rest of the way. Chatham scored in the 57th minute to take a 1-0 lead that was nullified just 17 seconds later when junior forward Angela Bethel (Beavercreek, Ohio/Miami Valley) scored on a pass from sophomore Emma Hoskins (Fairfield, Ohio/McAuley).
Host Chatham quickly regained their footing by scoring what would be the game winning goal in the 64th minute to put Lake Erie's record at 2-5 on the season. Storm keeper Jacque Lombardi (Warren, Ohio/John F. Kennedy) recorded 12 saves in the game.
