Sept. 4 - Loni Sargent (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard), a freshman, scored her first career goal in the 39th minute of today's game at Bethany, tying the contest at one, but Bethany would prevail, 2-1, after an early second half goal.

The Bison's second goal, coming off the foot of junior Pennie Thomas, bounced off sophomore goalkeeper Jane Robert's hands and into the net for what proved to be the game winner. Roberts (Rochester, N.Y./Greece-Odyssey) stopped five shots in the losing effort.

Lake Erie (0-2) will open its home season with a 4:30 contest against Baldwin-Wallace on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
