Ryan Palm is in his first season as an assistant coach for track & field and cross country in 2026-27.
?Palm came to Lake Erie after serving as the head cross country coach and assistant track coach at Quincy University (IL) since 2024. During his tenure with the Hawks, his athletes set 14 school records and seven finished on the program’s all-time top-times lists in cross country.
Additionally, he mentored two Great Lakes Valley Conference selections, which included Katie Park, who became the school’s 1,500-meter conference champion with a school-record time of 4:34.70.
?Palm's collegiate coaching career began as a graduate assistant at Heidelberg University (2022-2024), where he helped guide three runners to Ohio Athletic Conference honors.
?Palm has additional coaching experience at the high school level, as he was a part of two state championship staffs at Woodridge High School, where he coached 11 all-state performers and three state champions.
?Palm ran collegiately at NCAA Division I Kent State University, graduating in 2021 with a degree in sports administration before earning a master’s of business administration at Heidelberg in 2024.
