Meaghan Smith enters her fourth season as head coach of the Storm women's lacrosse team in 2022-23.

Smith joined the program from Queens College (DII) in New York City where she served as head coach from 2017-2019.

Smith joined Queens, who play in the ultra-competitive East Coast Conference, in the fall of 2016. In her second season, she increased Queens' win total by two and led the team to a 4-4 record in non-conference competition. In her second year, Smith coached midfielder Patriece Ausili who was the team's first All-ECC selection in three years.

Prior to Queens, Smith served as an assistant coach for lacrosse and women's soccer for Norwich University in 2016. She was also an assistant coach for Maine Maritime Academy from 2014 to 2016.

The Wantagh, New York native played collegiately at Dowling College where she earned her bachelor's degree in physical education and was a decorated student-athlete. Smith was an All-ECC selection in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and helped lead the Golden Lions to ECC championships in 2011, 2012, and 2014. The 2011 squad also made an appearance in the NCAA tournament.

Smith's talents carried her to the international realm where she was a member of the USA Athlete champion lacrosse team in the 2013 Berlin Open. She also excelled in women's soccer where she was a member of conference championship teams in 2011 and 2012 with a pair of NCAA tournament appearances which included a spot in the Round of 16 in 2012.

Smith completed her Masters of Art and Liberal Studies with a concentration in coaching from Stony Brook University in August of 2021.
