Prior to Lake Erie: Played four years of softball for Waterloo High School in Randolph OH…was All-Ohio as a senior, first team NE Ohio all four years, four year letter winner, first team all-conference four year and Alliance Review Athlete of the Week May 2009 and April 2010…played basketball for the Lady Vikings, three year letter winner, also member of the lady Vikings volleyball team, earning first team NE Ohio honors in 2009.

Personal: Born Aug. 1, 1991…Biology/ Pre-nursing major…daughter of Gary and Sherrie Shields…Gary played Baseball for the University of Akron.
