2010: Made 30 appearances with 18 starts... batted .106 (5-of-47) and hit a home run against Hillside on 4/24. 

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Was a four-year letterwinner at Vermilion High School as a catcher... named First-Team All-County, MVP and was named the top defensive catcher... also played four years of basketball at Vermilion. 

PERSONAL: Born May 30, 1990... majoring in communications with a minor in business... parents are LuAnn and Bob Athey... brother plays baseball at Mount Union College.
