2020: Played in three games, earning a 1-0 record during his second season with the Hounds ... earned a 2.25 ERA in four innings pitched ... was effective coming out of the bullpen, striking out five batters while only giving up two hits all year.

2019: Appeared in 10 games in his freshman season, making his first career start against Lake Erie (4/16) ... recorded a career-high two strikeouts in a game twice, last coming against Purdue Northwest (4/23).

High School: 1st team All-State infielder his junior and senior year.

Personal: Born August 22, 1999...son of Travis and Sonya Saffell...Zach wears #17 because that was his grandpa Charlie Masterson's number when he played baseball at Ohio State University...brother Blake played golf at Ohio Dominican University and sister Meg is committed to play golf there as well in 2022...majoring in business administration...plans to get his MBA after graduation.
