Biography

2011: Made 15 appearances as a junior, including seven starts as a designated hitter... also saw time at first base in three games... hit .231 (six-of-26) with two doubles, three runs batted in and four runs scored... had a two-run doubles in an 8-5 win at Pitt-Johnstown on 3/19.

2010: Saw time in six games and went 1-of-9 at the plate... Recorded his first collegiate hit at Mansfield on 4/6.

2009: Appeared in 11 games as a freshman for the Storm... made five appearances in the field as a first baseman... made one start, 5/3 vs. Columbia Union... reached base three times in 14 plate appearances, scoring a run vs. Grand Valley State 4/14.

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Four-year varsity baseball player and three-year varsity football player at Edgewood High School... was named first-team all-conference and all-county as a senior, helping Cougars to conference crown... played on three conference champions in football.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 26, 1990... majoring in education... parents are John and Lori Crout.
