Landon Hutchison is entering his fourth season as the head coach of the Storm baseball program in 2025.
Hutchison, a Baltimore, Ohio native took over the Storm baseball program after serving as the pitching coach of the UIndy Greyhounds of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) from 2018-2021. Hutchison helped lead the Greyhounds pitching staff to the 2020-21 GLVC semifinals and the number two seed in the division. As a team, the Greyhounds pitching rotation combined for a 5.26 ERA, 343 strikeouts, and a 23-21 record in 2021. Additionally to his pitching coach duties, Hutchison was in charge of player development and players' mental development.Â
Prior to UIndy, Hutchison spent time on the coaching staff at his alma mater the University of Rio Grande. As a graduate assistant with the RedStorm, the team combined for 73 wins in two seasons, while also serving as the JV team's co-head coach. As a player, Hutchison played an integral part in the team's 2015 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Championship run. Hutchison, a right-handed pitcher, went 6-3 on the mound and earned ALL-KIAC Honorable Mention honors. The RedStorm won the KIAC conference titles in back-to-back years (2015, 2016) and finished as the Regional Runner-up in 2015.Â
Hutchison also has spent time working with Pastime Tournaments, one of the most well-respected tournament hosts in the country. While with Pastime Tournaments, he served as the National Scouting Coordinator and Regional Director.Â
Hutchison is a graduate of the University of Rio Grande with a degree in AYA Math Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. He married to his wife Tayler.
