Biography

2010: Missed season due to injury.

2009: Appeared in 18 games for the Storm, making one start... posted a 2-1 record and team-leading three saves... had a 6.85 ERA in 23 2/3 innings with 15 strikeouts... earned win in first collegiate appearance, pitching 3 1/3 innings of relief in a 10-6 win over Mars Hill on 3/4... notched first save by retiring final two hitters in 6-3 win over Clarion 4/2... made first start on 4/4 at Mercyhurst... had eight scoreless appearances on the season.

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Three-time pitcher of the year at Southview High School in Lorain... twice named to the All-Lake Erie League team... named to All-Morning Journal squad and selected as a Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches Association All-Star.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 22, 1990... majoring in sports management... son of Jessica Castro... serves as a College Ambassador at Lake Erie.
