De Falchi Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

New Orleans - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named Alan de Falchi as an All-Academic honoree.

The 2026 NCAA Division II discus champion, de Falchi adds academic laurels to the list that also included G-MAC Field Athlete of the Year and his second All-America award.

Earning a master's in business administration while competing for the Storm, de Falchi recorded the eighth farthest throw in NCAA DII history with his winning heave of 198-05 (60.48m), setting the G-MAC record and becoming the fifth individual national champion in program history.

Additionally, he departs Lake Erie as the school record holder in the outdoor shot put with a mark of 52-05.75.(16.00m).

To earn All-Academic status, one must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 and finish within the top 50 nationally in an event.
