FINDLAY, Ohio – The Lake Erie baseball team hit the road to face the Findlay Oilers. The Oilers would take a 13-3 run-rule win in game one. Findlay would go ahead early in game two and hold on for 3-2 win. The Oilers would walk off the Storm in game three 2-1. Findlay would take game four 4-2 to secure a series sweep.

The Oilers would move ahead first, going up 2-0 in the second. Findlay blow it open in the fifth, scoring six runs on six hits and an error and growing their lead to 8-0. The Storm would get on the board in the sixth with an RBI single from
Teagan Williams and an RBI sacrifice fly from
Ty Sowers, cutting their deficit to 8-2. Another RBI sacrifice fly from
Micah Geise would bring the score to 8-3 in the seventh. The Oilers would score five runs in the seventh and eighth innings and give them a comfortable 13-3 run-rule win in game one.

The Storm would take a 1-0 lead in the top of the first with an RBI single from
Teagan Williams. The Oilers responded in the bottom half, taking the lead 2-1. Findlay would add another run in the second, growing the lead to 3-1. Lake Erie seemed on track for a big inning, scoring one run on another RBI single from Williams in the sixth and had second and third with one out, but were only able to scratch across one run bringing the score to 3-2. Findlay was able to hold on for the 3-2 game two win.

The Storm would break through first in the fourth, going up 1-0, taking advantage of two errors from the Oilers. Findlay would tie the game in the fifth on two hits. The Oilers would walk-off game three on a throwing error, securing a series victory with the 2-1 victory.

After four quiet innings of offense, the Oilers would take a 1-0 lead in the fifth, taking advantage of an error. The Storm would take a 2-1 lead in the seventh on an RBI double from
Travis Yankovich. Findlay would answer back in the bottom half retaking the lead 4-2 on two hits and an error. Lake Erie would threaten in the ninth getting runners on first and second with one out, but would not be able to cross home as the Oilers would hold on in game four 4-2 for the series sweep.

Lake Erie has now dropped five straight series against Findlay and are now 20-27 all-time against the Oilers. The last series win against Findlay was during the 2019 season.
