PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Lake Erie wrestling team hosted the Hiram College Terriers tonight for their senior night dual. The Storm concluded home competitions for the 2025-2026 season with a big win over Hiram, defeating them 53-0.

Braden Hahlen kicked off the dual with quick pin victory in 2:25. Anthony Sagaris earned a forfeit win attempt at 133 and the Storm quickly went up, 12-0.
The next four matches were complete domination, beginning with Joey Romano earning a pin victory at 141 in just 1:30. Colin Roberts and Josh Howey each earned technical fall wins before Luke Kaiser followed them up with a pin victory in just 2:00. With his pin, the Storm took a commanding, 34-0 lead.
Marky Stankorb took down his opponent, Kaden Duke by 11-3 major decision and Vincent Scaramuzzino followed with a pin victory in 1:50.
In the final two matches, Joey Scaramuzzino took down Dino Longo by 6-1 decision before Lucas Stuerenberg capped off the dual with the quickest pin of the night in just 1:15, sealing the victory in Painesville.
The 53-0 shutout, marked just the fifth dual shutout in program history and matched the program's largest shutout margin, which was set on January 15, 2022 against Hiram at the Case Western Reserve Duals.

Looking Ahead
The Storm will conclude regular season competition on Saturday, February 14th on the road against G-MAC opponent, Findlay at 6 p.m. before competing in regionals on Saturday, February 28th.
