FINDLAY, Ohio -- The Lake Erie wrestling team traveled tonight to face the University of Findlay Roughnecks and conclude their regular season competition. The Storm could not find an answer for the Roughnecks and fell, 40-2 in the dual.

Lake Erie went down early, dropping back-to-back matches via pin and major decision, going down 10-0. Carsen Richards took on Ashton Anderson at 141 and earned a hard-fought 4-3 decision win to get the Storm on the board, 10-3.

That would be the only match the Storm would win though and they dropped the remaining matches, two by decision, three by major decision and two by fall while also losing one team point for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Looking Ahead
With the conclusion of the regular season, the Storm finish with a 5-4 record and 3-3 G-MAC record in head coach John Penfold's first season at the helm. The team will be back in action on Saturday, February 28th for the NCAA DII Super Regional III at the University of Findlay.
