CRESTVIEW HILLS, Kentucky -- The Lake Erie wrestling team traveled today to take on the Thomas More Saints in another G-MAC contest. The Storm took care of business and defeated the Saints, 34-9.

The dual began in grand fashion as
Braden Hahlen pinned Trevor Wilcox at 6:11.
Anthony Sagaris followed at 133 with an 11–2 major decision victory, giving the Storm an early 10–0 lead.
After dropping the 141 bout to #7 Cole Thomas, Colin Roberts responded with an 8–5 decision win over Matt Ellis. Josh Howey then earned a pin against Ethan Kuhns at 4:01, extending Lake Erie's lead to 19–3.
The Storm fell at both 165 and 174 by decision, but the Scaramuzzino brothers stopped the momentum shift. Vincent Scaramuzzino recorded quick pin in just 34 seconds, while Joey Scaramuzzino earned a gritty 2–1 decision victory.
Lake Erie closed the dual the same way it started: with a pin. At 285, Tyler Shellenbarger made quick work of his opponent, sealing the dual with a pin at 1:17 and securing a 34–9 win for the Storm.

Lake Erie will be back in action on Saturday, January 31st and look to bring home some hardware as they compete at Great Midwest Wrestling Championships in Owensboro, Kentucky.
