COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Lake Erie softball team traveled today to face the Ohio Dominican Panthers in a double header in Columbus. The Storm offense struggled and was unable to overcome the Panthers pitching, dropping both games. This now concludes their season as they finish with a record of 2-44 and 2-22 in G-MAC competition.

In the first inning, the Storm got on the board first after
Emma Spahr reached on an error, stole second, advanced to third on a single by
Lily Turkowski and was finally driven home on a
Peyton Powers groundout.
The Panthers responded in the bottom half with a run of their own but from there, both teams would fail to score the next three innings.
In the fifth, Ohio Dominican took the lead with a two-run inning and followed that up with a four-run sixth. The Storm were unable to put anymore runs on the board and they fell 7-1 in game one.
Powers went 2-for-4 in the game and Turkowski,
Jasmine Gonzales, and
Madi Eckert combined for the remaining hits.

The offense struggled in game two, managing just one hit in their season finale.Â
The Panthers offense was consistent, putting up one run in the first and three in the third and fifth.
Madi Eckert got the lone hit for the Storm and
Addison Nugent had the most effective outing in the circle, throwing 1.2 innings, giving up just one hit.
