PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- The #15 Lake Erie wrestling team hosted the University of Findlay Roughnecks today for their senior day match. The Storm stayed in control and earned a 36-12 win. The victory brings their record to 5-5 on the year and 4-2 in G-MAC competition.

At 125,
Jordan Rodriguez got the nod and earned a 4-11 decision win before
Anthony Sagaris followed suit at 133 and took his opponent down by 4-2 decision.
Findlay forfeited their match at 141, giving
Brenden Hamilton the win. In the next match,
Austin Fietz followed by earning himself a convincing 10-1 major decision victory at 149.
At 157, it was a back-and-forth tough battle for
Matthew Kaufmann before he caught his opponent Gary Nilson slipping and pinned him, earning himself six points and giving the Storm a 22-0 lead.

Jack Haskin continued his wonderful season with a 15-3 major decision victory at 165 before the Roughnecks forfeited their 174 matchup.
Jordan Barnett was up next for Lake Erie and continued the dominance, earning a 13-2 major decision win. With the win, the Storm brought their lead out to a commanding 36-0 lead.
It was a rough final two matches for the Storm as
Quinn Gorman (197) and
Jordan Smith (285) each fell quickly via fall and the final score would end up at 36-12.
Looking Ahead
The Storm will compete in their final dual match of the season on Thursday, February 13th on the road against West Liberty.
