PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- The Lake Erie wrestling team hosted the Thomas More University Saints today for their first Great Midwest home dual meet of the season. The Storm made it look easy and took down Thomas More 32-5. The Storm now improve to 4-5 in dual meets this season and 3-2 in G-MAC competition.

The dual started out with back-to-back technical fall victories for the Storm.
Braden Hahlen (125), and
Anthony Sagaris (133) made it look easy and took down their opponents 17-1 and 16-1 respectively.
At 141,
Brenden Hamilton took on the task of facing off against #10 Cole Thomas. Hamilton put up a valient fight but Thomas would get the technical fall victory and give the Saints their only points of the match.
Austin Fietz grabbed a 6-0 decision victory over Mark Ellis at 149 and Matthew Kauffman followed that up with a major decision win at 157.
Next up was #3
Jack Haskin who faced off against Jahmon Spiller in a rematch from the G-MAC Championships. Haskin took what he learned from the last meeting and beat Spiller in even grander fashion, this time by 19-3 technical fall.
Vincent Scaramuzzino was in complete control during his match at 174 and earned himself a 15-3 major decision win against Liam Schram. At 184, the Saints would forfeit and give
Jordan Barnett the win.
For the final two matches,
Quinn Gorman was on the mat at 197 and
Jordan Smith was the wrestler at 285.
Gorman, who has continued to look better and better each week, had a gritty 4-1 sudden victory win and Smith followed it up with a just as gritty 4-2 decision win of his own.
Looking Ahead
Lake Erie will be hosting their senior day tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. against G-MAC opponent Findlay. This marks t
