Storm Defeat Thomas More in G-MAC Clash

PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- The Lake Erie wrestling team hosted the Thomas More University Saints today for their first Great Midwest home dual meet of the season. The Storm made it look easy and took down Thomas More 32-5. The Storm now improve to 4-5 in dual meets this season and 3-2 in G-MAC competition.

Recap

The dual started out with back-to-back technical fall victories for the Storm. Braden Hahlen (125), and Anthony Sagaris (133) made it look easy and took down their opponents 17-1 and 16-1 respectively.

At 141, Brenden Hamilton took on the task of facing off against #10 Cole Thomas. Hamilton put up a valient fight but Thomas would get the technical fall victory and give the Saints their only points of the match.

Next up was #3 Jack Haskin who faced off against Jahmon Spiller in a rematch from the G-MAC Championships. Haskin  took what he learned from the last meeting and beat Spiller in even grander fashion, this time by 19-3 technical fall.

Vincent Scaramuzzino was in complete control during his match at 174 and earned himself a 15-3 major decision win against Liam Schram. At 184, the Saints would forfeit and give Jordan Barnett the win.
