PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- The Lake Erie College Storm wrestling program hosted the Davenport University Panthers in a dual meet on February 4 in the Jerome T. Osborne Center. Lake Erie would handle the Panthers easily as they finished with a 42-9 victory.
It was a big night for Lake Erie as they were the healthiest they have been in a while. It was the first time since December 9 against Mercyhurst where they weren't forced to forfeit a match and the results showed.
Five Storm wrestlers would win by fall including
Jack Haskin who made a return from injury by taking down his opponent in 3:34.
James Penfold would win the quickest for Lake Erie on the day by defeating his opponent in just 2:09.
The Storm now look to finish up the season strong before regionals by competing in their final dual meet on Saturday February 11 at 6PM for senior night.
