PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- Lake Erie College Executive Director of Athletics Molly Hoffman has announced the release of the athletic department's five-year strategic plan, Eye of the Storm.

"With this plan in place we are setting ourselves up for success to best serve our student athletes," said Hoffman. "I look forward to bringing the ideas in this plan to life and see where we are five years from now."

The strategic plan outlines the athletic department's mission to creates an inclusive, academically focused environment for student-athletes to enrich their collegiate experience through competition, community engagement and co-curricular programs.

The vision of the Lake Erie College Department of Athletics is to create an environment that enhances the intellectual, physical, and social development of the whole person, while focusing on integrity, sportsmanship and ethical decision making.

The five core values are sportsmanship, respect, accountability, resilience and competitiveness.

The five priorities for the department over the next five years are student-athlete experience, leadership development, campus and community connection, athletic department enhancement, and fiscal responsibility.

"It is really important that we are setting our students up for success both on and off the field, says Jennifer Schuller, President of Lake Erie College. "We feel the new strategic plan not only supports our coaches in building and running the best programs possible but most importantly our student-athletes as they navigate competing, learning, and growing as human beings."
