MENTOR, OHIO -- Playing their first match of the season, the Lake Erie College women's tennis team was defeated by visiting Lake Superior State University 9-0 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action Friday (Sept. 13) at the Mentor Heisley Fitness and Racquet Club.

The Lakers (3-1, 3-1 GLIAC) won all five contested singles matches in straight sets, while taking both doubles matches by convincing 8-2 scores.  Lake Superior State also was credited with a pair of victories by default at sixth singles and third doubles.

The Storm host Michigan Technological University on Saturday, Sept. 14, also at the Heisley Fitness & Racquet Club, at 4 p.m.
