STORM OPENS HOME GLIAC PLAY: The Lake Erie College men's basketball team hosts their first Great Lakes Intercollegiiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) contest of the year Saturday afternoon as they face Wayne State University.

RECENT RESULTS: The Storm were unsuccessful on the opening weekend of GLIAC play, falling to Ferris State University and Grand Valley State University.

STORM NOTES: Senior guard Riley Thomas leads the Storm in scoring this season with 21.7 ppg... Thomas has scored 20 or more points in five games this season and had a season-high 29 points against Ferris State this past weekend...  Freshman forward Michael Morris is starting his collegiate career on the right track, averaging 10.0 ppg... Morris scored a season-high 21 points against Grand Valley State, hitting seven-of-ten three-point attempts... Senior center Garrick Sims is shooting 65.0% from the floor and is averaging 11.3 ppg. and 6.1 rpg. in 24.5 minutes... He had his biggest offensive performance of the season against Slippery Rock, netting 17 points and recorded the Storm's first double-double of the season against Ferris State (14 points, 12 rebounds)... The Storm is living from the three-point line this season, averaging 24.1 attempts a game ... As a unit, Lake Erie has turned the ball over 11 times a game while forcing their opponents to commit 14.2.  

NEXT UP: The Storm is back at home Wednesday (Dec. 18), hosting Saginaw Valley State University in the final game of the calender year.
