PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- The Lake Erie College women's tennis team dropped a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) contest at home on Sunday (Sept. 25) to visiting Ashland University, 9-0.

The Eagles (6-1, 6-1 GLIAC) relinquished only one point in four singles matches and eight in two contested doubles match.  Lake Erie (0-9, 0-9 GLIAC) sophomores Brittany Kelly (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) and Sydney Victor (Erie, Pa./Erie Day School) battled  Ashley Palmer and Megan Gisclon at second doubles before eventually falling 8-6.

Lake Erie is on the road for a pair of matches next weekend, starting Thursday, Sept. 29, at Saginaw Valley State University.
