Storm Stumbles in Final GLIAC Match of Season

PAINESVILLE, OHIO - Lake Erie College men's tennis (1-11, 0-9 GLIAC) stumbled in its final GLIAC match of the season, falling to Michigan Tech University (9-7, 5-3 GLIAC), 9-0, at the Gates Tennis Center in Houghton, Mich. Saturday. 

The Huskies won every set of the match en route to victory. 

The closest matches of the afternoon came at No. 3 and No.4 singles.  Sophomore Jacob Marsinick (Vermilion, Ohio/St. Mary Central Catholic) and senior Anthony Nagy (Wickliffe, Ohio/Wickliffe) each took four games in their matches against Doug Yossida and James Konarske, respectively, losing 6-0, 6-4, and 6-2, 6-2. 

The Storm will close their Spring season on Sunday, April 17 when they host Edinboro University in a recently added non-conference match.  Lake Erie won the first meeting between these teams in February, 7-2.
