PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- In a matchup of new members of the Great
Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Ohio Dominican came away
with a 9-0 victory over the Lake Erie College women's tennis team
Saturday (Sept. 25) at the Mentor Heisley Racquet Club.
The Panthers (6-1, 5-1 GLIAC) won all five contested singles
matches in straight sets. At first doubles, the team of freshman Jordyn
Parrigan (Shelby, Ohio/Shelby) and sophomore Emily
Rose-Gray (Marine City, Mich./Marine City) put a scare into
ODU's Ruchika Alahakoon and Nathelia Braga before falling 8-6.
The Storm's busy weekend continues Sunday, Sept. 26, with a pair
of matches at Ashland University. Lake Erie will play host Ashland
at 10 a.m. and Clarion University later in the day.
