PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- Sophomore Emily
Rose-Gray (Marine City, Mich./Marine City) and freshman Jordyn
Parrigan (Shelby, Ohio/Shelby) put up a fight at first doubles
before falling 8-4, but that was the only closely contested match
on the day as visiting Michigan Tech went on to a 9-0 victory over
the Lake Erie College women's tennis team on Sunday (Sept. 12) at
the Mentor Heisely Racquet Club.
The Huskies (1-2, 1-2 GLIAC) won all four contested singles
matches in straight sets and picked p wins by default at fifth and
sixth singles. In addition to Rose-Gray and Parrigan at
first singles, the Storm (0-4, 0-4 GLIAC) also lost at
second doubles, 8-1, and forfeited the decision at third
doubles.
Lake Erie is idle until Sept. 24 when it travels to the
University of Findlay.
