PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Earned four varsity letters in wrestling and three in football at Ferndale High School... on the mat was a three-time all-state selection and was the 2012 state runner up in the 171-pound weight class... served as a team captain as a senior when he posted a 43-2 record... was a second-team All-Michigan pick in football.

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 10, 1994... son of Cecilia Farris and Donald Carr... majoring in biology.
