2010: Played in seven games with two starts... went 1-of-8 at the plate.

2009: Played in 12 games as a freshman, making four starts behind the plate... was two-for-13 (.154) at the plate and scored twice.

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Was a four-year letter-winner at Hickory High School... was a second-team all-district pick... played on two district champions... Hornets reached state playoffs two times as well... also lettered twice in soccer... member of the High Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 13, 1990... majoring in business administration and sport management... parents are Robert and Kimberly Schafer.
