2010: Saw action in 14 games and made his lone start against Mercyhurst on 4/13... did not record a hit in 12 at bats.

2009: Played in 40 games, making 15 starts in the outfield as a sophomore... batted .279 with 17 hits in 61 at-bats... scored 11 runs and drove in five...  stole a base and had two sacrifices... had four multi-hit games (two hits each time)... also scored two runs in a game vs. Case Western Reserve 3/19... tied for team lead by being hit by a pitch six times.

2008: Saw action in 39 games as a freshman, making 24 starts... hit .213 (19-of-89) with a home run and 10 RBI... scored 20 runs and stole three bases... had two two-hit games... drove in a career-high three runs by tripling at Grove City 4/18... hit his first career homer vs. Mount Aloysius 4/5... scored two runs in a game four times.

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Played four years of baseball and football at North Ridgeville High School... earned team's sportsmanship award... was a first-team all-conference pick on the gridiron, helping Rangers to West Shore Conference championship.

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 2, 1988... majoring in sports management... son of Tim and Sheila Dowdell... older sister Erin played softball at Urbana University and brother Chris played baseball at Marietta College.
