Lake Erie College

Kyle Sheppard is in his third season overall with the Storm andhis first as a full-time varsity assistant. Previously, Sheppardwas a graduate assistant for two years. His responsibilitiesinclude working with the catchers, as well as the hitters.

A 2007 graduate of Saginaw Valley  State University, he playedtwo years for the Cardinals as a catcher after transferring fromSt. Clair County Community College where he also played for twoseasons. Additionally, the Ajax, Ontario  native played forthe Oshawa Dodgers, a semi-professional team out of Ontario,Canada, for three consecutive summers beginning in 2002.

After earning his bachelor's degree in history education, Sheppardcoached at his alma mater during the fall of 2007 as an assistant.He also served as a varsity assistant for Saginaw Nouvel CatholicHigh School during the 2006 and 2007 seasons with the team makingit to the state semifinals the latter year. He currently serves asan assistant coach with the Stark County Terriers of the GreatLakes Collegiate League.
Sheppard is pursuing a master’s degree in educationalleadership from Lake Erie and is employed as a residence director.
