Storm Fights Hard but Falls to Wayne St., 3-1

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College volleyball team was defeated today (October 10th) by Wayne St. University, 3-1. 

The storm offense was led by freshmen hitter Asya Hobbs (Lynwood, Ill. / Bishop Noll) and freshman hitter Madison Russell (Westerville, Ohio / Westerville South) who combined for 12 of the 28 total kills for Lake Erie.  The high in kills for the match was 14 by Heather Weiss of Wayne St. University.

The defense was led by freshman Graesyn Engler (Perrysburg, Ohio / Perrysburg) she had seven digs on the night for the Storm.  Lake Erie College had 24 digs and Wayne St. had 29 digs.  Engler and Madison Kielty were tied for the game high in digs with seven. 

The Storm will be back in action Saturday (October 11th) when they host Saginaw Valley St. at 1 P.M.
