PAINESVILLE, OHIO - In the latest NCAA Division II volleyball statistical rankings (through games of Sept. 20), Lake Erie College ranks among the national leaders in two individual and one team category.
As a team, the Storm is averaging 2.34 blocks per set which ranks 20th nationally among the 266 teams competing at the Division II level. That average is just 0.81 blocks per game behind leader West Chester (3.15).
Individually, sophomore defensive specialist Brittany Raggets (Eastlake, Ohio/Villa Angela St. Joseph) is 41st nationally in digs at 4.69 per set (239 total) and freshman outside hitter Mary Walter (Solon, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) is 44th in service aces per set at 0.58 (30 total).
In addition, sophomore middle hitter Jennifer Laureno (Lyndhurst, Ohio/Brush) is just outside the top 50 individually in blocks per set with 1.02.
