(INDIANAPOLIS)- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) has released its 2019 Women's Soccer Preseason Poll presented by Under Armour on Monday afternoon. Conference coaches voted on the poll made up of 11 teams.
The Walsh University Cavaliers garnered 91 points with 5 first-place votes and was picked to finish first in the G-MAC. Findlay, Trevecca Nazarene, Ohio Dominican, and Cedarville University make up the top five in the coaches' poll.
Ursuline, Malone, Tiffin, Kentucky Wesleyan, Lake Erie, and Alderson Broaddus finish out the bottom half of the poll.
Lake Erie will be lead by head coach Rene Lawrence who enters her fourth year with the program.
The Storm will begin their season on the road for three straight matches. The season will start vs. Carlow University at 5:00 pm Friday, Sept. 6. Lake Erie will stay on the road facing Glenville and Notre Dame College (OH) respectively. G-MAC play will begin on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 6:00 pm a home opener vs. Ursuline College.
