PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College women's soccer team will play host to two Great Midwest contests this week at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium. The Storm will welcome the Oilers of the University of Findlay on Wednesday (Oct. 11) at 12:00 PM. Lake Erie will play the Ohio Dominican University Panthers on Saturday (Oct. 14) evening at 6:00 PM for Senior Day.
Storm Report: Lake Erie is 4-7-1 overall for the season and 3-5-1 in G-MAC contests. The Storm fell 2-1 to Trevecca Nazarene University in their last game. Carley Kandel (Jeromesville, Ohio / Northwestern) leads the Storm and is tied for fifth in the conference with six goals this season.
Opposition Position: Findlay is 3-10 overall and 2-7 in conference games this season following a 2-1 loss to Malone last weekend. Karleigh Clere and Chloe Marburger are tied for the team lead with four goals each. The Panthers enter the week with a 9-3-1 record (7-1-1 in G-MAC). Before facing the Storm, the Panthers will face Ursuline on Wednesday. Alli Pavlik leads the team with nine goals scored.
Series History: Lake Erie has faced both the Oilers and the Panthers once this season already. The Storm defeated Findlay 3-2 and fell 5-0 to the Panthers last month. Overall, Lake Erie is 3-5-2 against the Oilers and 1-9 against the Panthers.
Storm Forecast: The Storm will begin the final stretch of the regular season with the final two road games at Ohio Valley and Cedarville next week.
