PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College women's soccer team will begin a two game road trip to continue the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) schedule. The Storm will face the University of Findlay Oilers on Thursday (Sept. 14) and the Ohio Dominican University Panthers on Saturday (Sept. 16).
Storm Report: The Storm earned their first win of the season with a 1-0 win over Carlow University on Monday (Sept. 11). Ashley Pryce (Stow, Ohio / Stow Munroe Falls) had a goal in the tenth minute that was the difference maker in the victory. Lake Erie is 1-3 on the season and 0-1 in G-MAC play.
Opposition Position: The Oilers enter the matchup on Thursday with a 1-4 overall record and a 0-1 G-MAC record. Findlay was defeated by Saginaw Valley State 2-1 in their last contest. Megan Kupetz and Chloe Marburger each have two goals for the Oilers this season. Ohio Dominican enters the weekend with a 3-2 mark and a 1-0 conference record. The Panthers defeated Northwood 4-2 in their last game. Ohio Dominican is led by Alli Pavlik, who has scored three goals this season. The Panthers will host Ursuline before the Storm comes to Columbus.
Series History: The Storm have faced the Oilers and the Panthers nine times since 2009. Lake Erie holds a 2-5-2 record against the Oilers in the series. Findlay defeated the Storm 4-1 last season. Ohio Dominican has won eight of the nine matchups in the series as the Panthers defeated the Storm 2-0 last year.
Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will return to the Britt on Thursday (Sept. 21) to host Alderson Broaddus University.
