ASHLAND, Ohio-The Lake Erie College women's soccer dropped their second straight game as they fell to the Ashland University Eagles on Friday (Sept. 23) night 2-0 in the GLIAC opener for both teams.
Lake Erie's second straight defeat dropped their overall record to 4-2 and 0-1 in the GLIAC.
Both teams kept each other off of the scoreboard in the first 45 minutes.
In the 62nd minute, Ashland took the lead on a goal and added another insurance goal 27 seconds later.
Marissa Brannon faced 13 shots on goal from the Ashland offense. She finished with 11 saves and two goals allowed.
Lake Erie will look to rebound as they travel to Tiffin on Sunday (Sept. 25) for a GLIAC matchup.
