PAINESVILLE, Ohio- After a successful opening weekend, the Lake Erie College women's soccer team will conclude a two game road trip with a nonconference matchup with Carlow University on Saturday (Sept. 10).
Storm Report: The Storm opened the 2016 season with a 2-0 record so far. After a win in the season opener, the Storm defeated Urbana 2-1 on the road. Elizabeth Roesch (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington Central) and Ashley Pryce (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) scored goals in the win.
Honorable Mention: With three goals scored last week, Pryce was named to the GLIAC Honorable Mention team. Pryce scored three goals on four shots in two games. On the defensive end, Marissa Brannon (Concord, Ohio/Lake Catholic) was named to the Honorable Mention list for her performances in the goal. In 180 minutes in goal, Brannon allowed two goals and made 14 saves.
Series History: The Storm and the Carlow Celtics have never faced off in the match before.
Opposition Position: The Celtics are 0-2 entering the contest with the Storm. They have losses to Davenport and the University of Maine-Fort Kent.
Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will return to the friendly confines of Jack Britt Memorial Stadium for a nonconference matchup with Salem International on Thursday (Sept. 15).
