PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Sophomore Megan Baldacci (Cavecreek, Ariz./Cactus Shadows) made six saves and was helped by a strong defensive performance from sophomore Chrissy Poulos (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) among others as Lake Erie College (1-10-1) earned its second shutout of the season in a 0-0 tie against Seton Hill University (5-5-1) at Slattery Field.

It was an evenly matched game with Lake Erie holding a 15-12 edge in shots and a 7-6 advantage in shots on goal.

The shutout for Baldacci marked her second of the season and fourth of her career.

Lake Erie had maybe the best chance to score throughout the game for either side in the first minute as sophomore Ally Miller's (Mantua, Ohio/Crestwood) strike hit the crossbar.  The first half saw both teams play primarily in the midfield with each team taking three attempts.

Seton Hill picked up the pace in the second 45 minutes but nearly team could find the back of the net.  The overtime periods were primarily dominated by the Storm and Lake Erie had another strong chance in the game's final minute but Poulos' left strike was saved.

Each team attempted four corner kicks while Seton Hill committed 13 fouls while Lake Erie was whistled for 10.

The Storm is back at home Sunday when they return to GLIAC play and Jack Britt Stadium for a noon start against Ashland University.
