Giesen Makes 17 Saves, but Storm Falls at Urbana 2-1

PAINESVILLE, OHIO - The Lake Erie College women's soccer team fell behind by two goals at Urbana University early in the second half and couldn't pull out the comeback in a 2-1 loss to the Blue Knights.

Freshman Kaitlyn Holland (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) converted a penalty kick in the 71st minute for the Storm's (6-10-2) lone goal. But the Storm, outshot 29-6 in the match, managed just one more shot at the net over the final 19 minutes.

The goal was Holland's team-leading eighth of the season.

Mikaela Tolbert scored both goals for the Blue Knights (5-8-2). The first came late in the first half at 35:43 and the second early in the second at 46:03.

Despite allowing two goals, sophomore Chelsea Giesen (Grants Pass, Ore./North Valley) made 17 saves in goal for the Storm. Melanie Johansing was credited with two saves for Urbana.
