Storm Looks for Third Straight GLIAC Title (PREVIEW)

The 12th-ranked Lake Erie College wrestling team has a chance to clinch their third straight Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship when they visit 13th-ranked Tiffin University.

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm dominated the University of Findlay, defeating the Oilers 33-9.  Forrest Glogouski, Evan Rosborough and Noah Hosking had pins for the Storm.  Austin Gillihan, Nick Boggs, Matt Vandermeer, Nicholas Vandermeer and Tyler Hughes won by decision.

GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: With a win over the Dragons, the Storm will move onto 3-0 in GLIAC duals this year, clinching their third straight title.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Dragons are 7-7 in dual meets this year.  They fell in their most recent dual to the University of Findlay on February 6th.  197-pounder Jake Cramer is ranked fifth nationally whikle heavyweight Garret Grey is ranked second.

STORM IN THE RANKINGS: The Storm punch in at number 12 in the latest Division-II rankings.  157-pounder Christian Baughman, 165-pounder Matt Vandermeer and 197-pounder Evan Rosborough are all ranked eighth nationally in their weight class.

UP NEXT: The Storm travels back to Tiffin for the Bergmania Duals on Feb. 21.
