Lake Erie Wraps up Soggy Fall Qdoba Invite

PAINESVILLE, OHIO --  Despite less than ideal weather conditions over the weekend, the University of Findlay bested three other squads, including the host Lake Erie College women's golf team, to take the LEC Fall Invitational presented by Qdoba Mexican Grill Sunday and Monday (Sept. 26-27) at the Madison Country Club.

Andrea Vogt finished with an eight-over 150 as the individual medalist, defeting teammate Ashley Gubser by six strokes.  The pair led the way as the Oilers easily outdistanced runner-up Ohio Dominican University.

The Storm, missing two of its top five due to injury, was led by junior Amanda Blasko (Concord, Ohio/Mentor) who finished tenth indiviudally with a 90-90=180.  Freshman Stephanie Koval (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls) was next at 103-97=200, followed by sophomore Stephanie Morgan (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) at 109-106-215.

Lake Erie is at Findlay next weekend for the Beall Fall Classic Oct. 9.
